A bushfire is a violent fire which blazes through forests, woodland and bushes. 

What causes bushfires?

- Lightening bolts striking trees

- Careless people dropping cigarettes in the bush

- People not using camp fires safely

- People called arsonists deliberately lighting fires 

- Fires from car crashes spreading to the bush

How do bushfires affect shelters?

- Burns down trees

- Leaves are burnt

- Nests are burnt

- Soil Changes

- Houses burnt down
